JavaOne 2007 Backstage

Filed under: webservices — arungupta @ 9:04 pm

I’m involved with a general session keynote demo during JavaOne 2007 (again!). There is a big (dedicated) crew involved to ensure smooth operation of the keynote. As a normal attendee, you don’t get to go backstage. Neither you get to see/meet the folks who help in making sure demos are loaded on the correct machine, slide transitions are making flow, mic is plugged and working and lots and lots of other details. But here are pictures of backstage and some of the folks who make it happen.

These pictures were taken during a certain time of the day and so I must have missed other key persons. These pictures seem to show them relaxed but it’s a different equation on the day of event. You may never see these guys when the session is in progress but they make it happen. Thanks a lot to all of them!

If you happen to bump into any of them, say thank you!
