Project Metro was announced 2 days ago and got picked up my multiple sites:
- Project Metro: the new name for web services stack from Sun (TheServerSide)
- Sun Announces Metro (InfoQ)
- Announcing Metro (webservices.org)
- Sun Names "Metro Web-Services Stack" (Dr Dobbs Portal)
- Sun Christens "JAX-WS RI + Project Tango" to Project Metro (jax magazine)
Here is a comment from the community:
Great job, I asked couple of weeks ago in the jaxws-jaxb forum if JWSDP (the bundle idea) was dead. Metro is the best answer to that I guess
I just hope it will be updated more frequently than JWSDP bundles. We (the community) should support this move with our feedback and bug reports. Thanks

JBoss WS 2.1.0 will support Metro. Read more details at: http://blogs.sun.com/theaquarium/entry/glassfish_s_metro_now_also. There are other users who have been able to use Metro in JBoss. For example you can follow the thread at https://metro.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=1749. Please feel free to ask your specific question there as well. Otherwise let us know about your experience.
