Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational Meet at Stanford – May 2, 2009

I attended Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational at Stanford yesterday. This was my first such meet and it was truly exciting to see/meet some elite runners, for example 10.57 secs for 100 meter and many such athletes. I had a short interaction with Amaechi Morton who broke a 38-year old Stanford record in the 400-meter hurdle and the fifth fastest in the nation this year. Two key advises from him for a runner: “higher intensity” and “more practice”. And based upon that I truly enjoyed my hills run at Rancho this morning.
